Ladbrokes Odds-On Card

Friday, November 30th, 2007

I used a Ladbrokes odds-on “20% Joker” last night on Alt. Madrid v Aberdeen. Had £500 at 1.25 (1/4) so got 1.30 with the bonus. Laid £555 at 1.20 for a nice profit of £39. It was the first time the staff in the shop had redeemed one of these coupons so it took about 10 mins for them to figure out the procedure. They get a token from the safe and swipe it into their computer system before taking the bet. Then they put a nice little stamp on your receipt.

Using a ladbrokes Odds-on 20% joker

Without the bonus I would have had to lay £534.20 for a profit of £18.17. So my 1,000 points was worth just under £21. I really hope Ladbrokes make this scheme permanent.  Can they afford to give their mug punters a rebate of 2% without any problems?

It looks like using these jokers at higher odds is the way to go if you can get £500 on.

If you find a match at evens: say even money at “The Magic Sign” and 1.95 to lay on the exchange (at 3% commission) then we have;

Back £500@2.00, Lay £520.83@1.95 for a profit of £5.21 regardless of the result.

With a 20% Joker

Back £500@2.20, Lay £572.92@1.95 for a profit of £55.73 no matter who wins.

This is going to bring so many matches into arb territory.

Wednesday, November 28th, 2007

A quiet day today so I updated my Home Page. I’ve been getting some really good matches on the Bet365 Feature Races this week but just haven’t managed to find any winners. Had a couple of £100 bets on non-bonus races as well for cover (found small arbs so risk-free). So far, this week I have “lost” over £700 at bet365. This is good news I suppose, as my a/c manager at bet365 will be happy and I have transfered the money into my exchange account where it can be a bit more productive without having to ask for a withdrawal. No wonder then that I got sent another £5 free loyalty bet today.

WBX have ended there 0% commission promotion. I wonder how many people did what I did , which was to use them for that 1 race and 1 football match each day with 0% then head back to the bigger exchanges the rest of the time.

BetFred have  2/7 for tomorrows match Madrid v Aberbeen. I am in the queue to lay it off at 1.25. This gives a yield of 1.5%.

I am pretty sure when I add up all my accounts at the end of the month that my bankroll will be over £5,000 for the first time. In the last two months I have made more profit from matched betting than poker. This will probably be the norm from now on. As my bankroll grows I can take advantage of more and more arbing oppotunities. To make more money from poker I either have to play more hours, multitable more or step up a level. I don’t want to do any of these things.

Paddy Power £10 Free

Tuesday, November 27th, 2007

I  had a free £10  added to my account by Paddy Power yesterday. The email hinted there were no play through requirements but I ran it through  “Deal or no Deal” once (10x£1) just to make sure. Hit the £10 box 4 times but still finished +£8.06.

Dear Xxxx, Username: XxxxThank you for taking the time to ‘Click for Cash‘!

I’m pleased to inform you your account has been credited with a bonus gift and you are free to play the games of your choice!

Hit the ‘Play Now‘ button below to get started!

I’ve done really well at Paddy Power’s casino this month. Sunday’s two 111% reloads (max £50 bonus so deposited £46×2) finished at +£107 and +£35 playing Texas Bonus Holdem. My run of  finishing ahead of expectation here continues. I will definitely make PP my casino of the month for December.

Ladbrokes’ Robbery

Monday, November 26th, 2007

Popped down to my nearest Ladbrokes bright and early at 11am yesterday to place another bet on the WBA v Wolves match which was due to kick at noon. By 11.15 the shop still wasn’t open although the staff were drinking coffee inside. They finally opened up at 11.30 to much grumbling from the group of regulars who were desperate to hit the FOBTs. This just about left me enough time to get home and matched out. I found out today that there had been an armed robbery at the shop the previous evening. One member of staff was taken into the back room and forced at gunpoint to open the safe. Horrible.  Today all the staff were saying that it is the later opening hours to accomodate night racing that is putting them at risk .

Promising Weekend Ahead

Friday, November 23rd, 2007

After England’s dismal performance midweek the focus returns to the domestic leagues. I already have one decent arb locked up. Ladbrokes shops are offering 11/10 on WBA v Wolves this Sunday. I rolled over a £300 winning coupon. Laid £313.44 on the -0.5 goals Asian Handicap market with 2% commission at 2.03. Looks like a profit of £7. 16 plus £4.50 in points on my “Odds-On”card.

Today’s Bet365 offer came up trumps with Cruising River winning in the 3.10 at Ascot (backed £50 at 6.00, laid £51.56 at 6.10) then I underlaid a loser in the next race for an overall profit of £35. I have just posted my detailed “step-by-step” guide to “Arbitrage Betting the Bet365 4/1+ Feature Race Offers” on my website.

Paddy Power have come up trumps with an email offering another two £50 casino reloads on Sunday. The same terms as last week, so no blackjack but Texas Holdem Bonus will be OK.

Betway gave me 10 free spins on their “Hitman” slot. This generated the grand total of 63cents of bonus cash. You can’t ever withdraw this so I used it on a couple of slot spins. Surprise, surprise no return.

Paddy Power’s Casino Reload

Wednesday, November 21st, 2007

I finished PP’s Sunday £75 reload bonus, playing Texas Holdem Bonus-Players Suite with an initial stake of 40p/hand. It took just under 5 hours. Finished +£83. Perhaps because of hands like these:

Texas Holdem Bonus Players Suite

Four of a Kind

Four of a Kind

I really enjoy this game - I only wish I could hit flops like these when I am on a final table.

I have done four of these bonuses and finished well up in all of them. I am beginning to wonder if Paddy has got the right software installed.

Saturday Summary

Saturday, November 17th, 2007

Saturday is normally the busiest day of the week for betting but today has been an anti-climax.

I did Corals £5  free bet offer on the Scotland/Italy match. This was advertised as being for Scottish addresses only but the code (GORDON) worked fine for me. Bet on a draw at 3.1 and matched out at 3.15 for a win of at least £4.75 depending on the result. Did SJ’s spot the ball comp which was based on roulette this week.

Bet365’s Channel four racing only covered six races today, because they devoted alot of time to the build-up for the Paddy Power Gold Cup. I got bets on three races and could possibly have had a fourth one had I been paying a bit more attention to the exchanges. No winners but got my money back from the exchange.

The big problem today was that there were some races with two 3/1 or 7/2 shots in them. These are no good for the free bet offer. Its commonplace in these types of races to find one or two 7/1 or 8/1 runners and the rest big outsiders. So, you really only have one or two horses to choose from and if their prices are half a point bigger on the exchange than the books there is very little profit to be had.

Once the prices increase to 10/1 or higher you need (in my opinion) to be v. careful about getting involved. Early in the morning when there is not much activity you can match the bets out quite safely but with 10 minutes to go, the prices of the outsiders yo-yo about significantly. I bet £50 on a horse yesterday at 9.0 with 8.8 showing on the machine. I didn’t get on in time and eventually had to lay £51.56 at 10.0 just before the race. At 3% commission this results in a loss of £64.04 (less what you recover from the next £50 free bet) if the horse wins. Definitely -ev. On this occassion  the horse was in contention for awhile but faded towards the end so I got away with it.

I got a little carried away with a football bet this morning. Bet MK Dons at 13/8 at a couple of bookies because I thought I could lay it off at between 2.40-2.45. Had £320 on at about 1pm then came home to find that there was v little liquidity on this market. Finally bailed out in three chunks £44@2.50, £240.22@2.51 and £56@2.55. So a profit of £4.47 rather than the £20+ I was expecting. I must try and remember that League Two is not the same as the Premiership.
